Advance Plumbing was incorporated in 2004 and began operations from our Midlands base, initially serving commercial clients in the Leicester and East Midlands area. From that foundation, we grew methodically — adding regional teams, building engineer rosters, and establishing the compliance and documentation systems that now underpin our national operation.

Over two decades, we have completed over 2,000 boiler installations, issued thousands of gas safety certificates, and maintained planned maintenance contracts for a diverse range of commercial clients including NHS trusts, retail chains, hotel groups, and logistics operators. Each of these relationships is built on the same foundation: qualified engineers, transparent pricing, and documentation that stands up to regulatory scrutiny.

Today, Advance Plumbing operates across seven UK regions, employing directly engaged engineers (not subcontractors) in each. Our head office at Meridian Business Park in Leicester coordinates national operations, manages compliance systems, and provides the commercial account management function that distinguishes us in the market.

Every Advance Plumbing engineer who carries out gas work holds current Gas Safe registration. This is a non-negotiable requirement — not because the law demands it (which it does), but because we believe our clients deserve the certainty that their gas appliances are being worked on by qualified professionals whose competence has been independently assessed.

In addition to Gas Safe registration, our engineers hold a range of manufacturer accreditations with Worcester Bosch, Viessmann, Vaillant, and other leading brands. These accreditations allow us to offer extended manufacturer warranties on new boiler installations — warranties that are voided if installation is carried out by non-accredited engineers.

The commercial division is the part of Advance Plumbing's business that most clearly demonstrates what a nationally scaled plumbing contractor can deliver. Where a local plumber might handle a domestic boiler service call and a small business leak repair with the same engineer in the same day, our commercial operations require a fundamentally different infrastructure.

Commercial clients on planned maintenance contracts are assigned a dedicated account manager — a single point of contact who coordinates all scheduled visits, manages compliance deadlines, tracks certificate renewal dates, and escalates any issues that arise. This is not a call centre operative reading from a script; it is a technically qualified individual who understands your facilities and your compliance requirements.

Our commercial compliance documentation — service records, risk assessments, gas safety certificates, commissioning reports — is maintained in a client-accessible digital archive. For commercial clients subject to regulatory inspection or insurance audit, this documentation is available on demand in the formats required.
